Thanks to those who participated in the first month of this contest. Although I'll admit I was a tad deceptive on the purpose of The Warmup, it still served its purpose. Though the set of fifty used to be my warmup, it took me a year to get to the point where that many reps of every workout plus a full body stretch was a warmup. Additionally, I would never ask someone to do something that they couldn't do. Only to try their hardest. The effort was all I wanted to see. Not some arbitrary number. But to those who tried, going forward will be much easier now.
Be sure to congratulate this month's contestants:
Buddhist Brony did a great job meeting the numbers this month.
cAPS lOCK MLP showed an incredible amount of effort and progress - quadrupling his numbers in some cases.
Rhiannon has made good progress in starting a routine that she can do despite her limitations.
This is the kind of thing I love to see.
Going forward, things are going to be a lot easier and more fun. Pick a physical hobby that you used to do and gave up or one that you've had an interest in but never pursued. Let's see how good you can get at it with a month of consistent practice.
I highly encourage you to take a friend with you. Or, to find a meetup group of some kind. The key to being successful at this challenge lays within your lines of support.
Make your first video as soon as possible and send it to [email protected] Be sure to tell me all about what you plan to do and how you plan to do it as well as show me how good you are at it now.
Make and submit your progress video by April 1st to be included in the next month's compilation. I'd love to hear about your experiences and how far along you've come as well as see how much better you got at whatever it is you do.
I hope to see you all in it this time.
