Weekly Accountability

Whelp! It's the last week of the year. Where did all that time go?! I've got a couple more posts scheduled for the end of the year and the start of 2019 and that's it. Let's see...

Later today I've got a note on livereacts in 2019. Tomorrow is, of course, a Let's Play day, so expect more Thief  and... Either the 30th or the 31st will see a yearly round-up appear.

Completed Projects

Get ready for 2019 (At least I think? Until I discover I inevitably forgot something.)

Goal Updates

66% at least 1 chapter of DemiPrincess per week and keep the momentum going

I finally got past the annoying "Argh! Help! What are words!" bump in these two chapters. Mostly. So I may be able to make this one for the end of the year. I won't be where I'd ideally want to be still, but it'd be closer.

Writing Updates

This Week's Fiction Wordcount: 2,231

This Week's Non-Fiction Wordcount: 0

DemiPrincess2: Whoo! Progress! I'm almost done with chapter 8 now. I would've finished it yesterday, but I got a liiiiiittle distracted rereading RibbonDancer because Reasons. Oops.

RibbonDancer: Slowly reaching the point where I can edit it up and revise it with more worldbuilding. Probably.

Life And Other Such Important Matters

Life continues to be much the same. December is apparently just hard. On top of that, wow, the car is having trouble. I mean, we knew that, but trying to locate the issue is tricky and the garage hasn't managed it yet. This is the first time they've looked at the battery and seen what it's like before it was recharged to drive to the garage, though, so hopefully that makes a difference. Because apparently "The car seems fine, but just leave it a day or two and try then, so you can see what happens" is not a sensible thing to do.

More worryingly from a writing perspective: I've been trying to figure out why the Fairytale Verses books won't update their prices properly on Amazon. (And only on Amazon and only for a specific region.) It's also affected other people's books, albeit somewhat differently, so I suspect it's something a bit more complicated than "We're price-matching this imaginary thing". We've started the musical departments dance now, but hopefully (yes, I somehow manage to be an optimist) the technical department I've been forwarded to with my issue will be able to help.

Stand-out Positive Moment

Getting past that ridiculous block in DemiPrincess2! Everyone will be delighted to hear that there is a kelpie! And not a cameo kelpie-pretending-to-be-a-horse either, a proper kelpie!

Well, sort of.

I never want to be writing about a stampeding group of anything ever again.

Um, yes. I know that's not quite positive, but really. I'm thrilled to be at this point because it means I can continue on to scenes that don't give me as much trouble (probably)! Huzzah! :D

How about you? What have you been up to lately? Has anything awesome happened?
