Welcome to 'the last city'
Ever since I was a kid, I was fascinated with the idea of artificial intelligence, as well as body-replacing cybernetics. As time went on, and a variety of influences began to take hold on my own tastes, the particular science fiction styles of the 1980's became dominant for me.

My own career as an artist, both in the field of comic books and in other fields, ranged all over the place, stylistically, but my love for the neon-drenched, kanji-studded cyberpunk science fiction of the 80's never went away.

Over the past few years, my own personal work began focusing more and more on robots in a very stylized world, one that had its roots in that earlier aesthetic. As these pieces kept getting done, I realized that this setting could be the focus of a series of stories that would deal with themes of identity, of loss, aging, and of hope, themes I had been utilizing in other freelance work of mine. And while I had some earlier webcomic experience, the idea of one series that could tie all those ideas together along with that design aesthetic kept reaching out to me. Thus, in April of 2017, I took the plunge and started posting this series, one I hope to be working on for some time.

I hope you all take this journey with me into the promise of a certain type of science fiction.
