First episode of the We're Outta Time Podcast which will be added for our $5 reward patrons. The show will be about looking back at old wrestling shows, VHS tapes, DVDs, wrestling-inspired movies, movies featuring wrestlers (mostly as themselves or playing the role of a wrestler), documentaries, tv shows, etc. The first episode is FREE for everyone to listen to visiting the LuchaWorld Patreon page.
The first episode is about the first VHS tape I ever purchased, "Johnny Legend Presents Rock 'n' Roll Wrestling - Music Television". The version I purchased back in 1987 was 30-minutes. I'll include the story of when, where and why the heck I bought the tape. Plus my first reaction to seeing some of the videos because many of the names on the video had already moved on to other places by the time I watched it. There are 2 versions as there was a 60-minute vhs tape released 2 years earlier. We'll take a look at both vhs tapes and the differences each has from the box covers to the content in each video.
Some of the stars on these vhs tapes include Jerry "The King" Lawler, "Macho Man" Randy Savage, The Rock 'n' Roll Express, The Fabulous Ones, Joe Leduc, Kamala, "The Boogie Woogie Man" Jimmy Valiant, "Exotic" Adrian Street, and many others. We'll look back at some wacky and cool music videos and match highlights. 45 minute podcast. Hope everyone enjoys it.
