What is Abbey Meadow? Abbey Meadow is a small holding located in Devon, England. The farm is one of the few in the UK that commits to sustainable, natural and organic farming methods. Abbey Meadow specialises in a type of farming called Permaculture, which until this project, I had never heard of. Permaculture essentially means nothing gets wasted, each seed is replanted, old materials that people don't need gets used and created into something. The process uses natures natural processes to produce food.
Now it is argued that Permaculture could be more productive than the contemporary ways of farming, if true this could revolutionise the way we eat out food. These methods do not use GM, chemicals or harm the environment in anyway, by farming like this we also help to protect our environment. That's something we can all get involved in right?
