Wild Theology #39 - a Dialogue with Diana Greenfield

with Vicky and Diana (in the middle) at the 3 Wishes Fairy Festival in Cornwall

In this episode, I am at the George and Pilgrim Pub in the town of Glastonbury, England. Diana is regularly referred to as the Goth Vicar of Glastonbury. Similar to episode #37 with Matt Arnold, this is a dialogue with another Christian leader who works with and lives among the Neo-Pagan community in the town she lives in. Glastonbury is a smaller version of Salem, Massachusetts. The town population is just a little under 10,000, but it is a tourist destination, known for its mythical connections to Joseph of Arimathea and the Holy Grail, Saint Patrick, ancient druidic paganism, the Isle of Avalon, and a host of other spiritual hot topics. Consequently, it is a busy little burg.

Diana has been ministering in Glastonbury for nine years now, and has also been working as a chaplain in the Three Wishes Fairy Festival and the famous Glastonbury Festival, which is not in Glastonbury itself, but in the nearby village of Pilton. We have both just come from these events, which we have been working over the last two weeks. But, this discussion primarily covers her work and relationship development among the variety of Neo-Pagans in and around Glastonbury.
