Wow, it's January - how did that happen??
Happy 2016, everyone! (How on earth did it get to be 2016?!) This January was a busy month for me. My first gig of 2016 was the delightfully offbeat arts festival Curious Gallery in Portland, OR, at which I got to perform solo and also improvise with Nathaniel Johnstone. Another January highlight was the filk music convention Conflikt in Seattle. I'm hoping to be able to share some highlights of my Conflikt concerts with you soon, so stay tuned! Anyway, January somehow blew past me when I was looking the other way, so I'm posting my January noodle a few days into February.

January 2016's noodle is Sweet Morsel #2: Salted Caramel Truffle. Like the July 2015 noodle, Sweet Morsel #1, this noodle is an open improvisation between me (cello) and Geli Wuerzner (viola). Geli and I just sat down together and started playing, and this sweet and tasty nibble was the result. (No truffles were harmed in the making of this piece - unfortunately. :)

As always, thanks so much to my Patreons for your support this month!
