The day we rescued Remy I was overwhelmed by the amount of people who told me I should euthanise him. It was appalling. At first I tried to reason with them but in the end I gave up.

It was a knee-jerk reaction, hundreds of people resorted to verbal and written violence to let me know that I was no better than the person that did this to Remy.

It was very painful to read.. but I pressed on.

With every surgery, with every small step, there were less and less critical voices... and Remy got better.
