first, some happy news: I finished my last round of chemo this past Wednesday!! what a joy to ring that bell. radiation comes next and then I essentially will be DONE - updates on the "health project" continue over here. the general headline right now is that I'm tired, but doing well!
secondly, I'm excited to share a little work-in-progress from my collaboration with Terry Hempfling this Friday, June 8, 4pm at The Playwrights' Center in Minneapolis - and I hope those of you who are local will join us! we're now calling the piece bs: conversation (and it totally involves speaking after all). we are joined by multimedia artist John Marks and will share some of the processes we've been exploring together this spring, collaging improvised dialogues, personal stories, poetry, and found texts in real time with physical and object-driven endurance exercises, live sound mixing, and video. the showing is FREE and will be approximately 60 minutes, followed by an informal happy hour. no RSVP needed! details here; Facebook event here.
for those of you who can't make it, rest assured I'll post full video from the event as a "piece" (for patrons only) here in the coming weeks!
more to come soon, including details about not one but three new publications that have been brewing this winter/spring...
in love and gratitude!
