You're Invited: End of Days
Storage Contemporary presents, "End of Days", an exhibition featuring Caitlin Karolczak and Jamie Owens during the NE Mpls Art-A-Whirl event. Studio 514.

The California Building
2205 California St NE #514
Minneapolis, MN 55418

Friday May 18th: 5pm-10pm

Saturday May 19th: noon-8pm

Sunday May 20th: noon-5pm

Karolczak (an internationally recognized contemporary artist) will for the second time be displaying her recently completed  7' wide self-portrait "Seeking Arrangement". In addition she will be showcasing several other works that mix anatomy with feminism in an aesthetic that blends time-intensive old master painting techniques with new experimental processes.

Owens will be displaying two brand new holographic and lucite series that relate to issues of fame worship and modern gun violence. His work involves peculiar found materials that are arranged, cut, and then rearragned, playing with shape, dimension and light.

Besides the above, there will be lots of AAW only specials on art.
At the end of the exhibit on Sunday night "Seer", an original oil on panel with antique gold pigments by Caitlin Karolczak, will be raffled off to one lucky winner!

Seer. Oil, antique metallic pigment on panel. To be raffled off.

Caitlin will also be participating in an off-site performance piece with Cock E.S.P. on Saturday May 19th at Studio Six on 13th st and 2nd ave at 6pm:

"Since 1993 Minneapolis-based noise / performance art group Cock E.S.P. has confused, shocked, amused, annoyed and inspired. Through brief and chaotic live vignettes, the troupe has arguably achieved the ultimate cocktail of punk rock spirit, avant garde artistry and cutting edge fashion.

This fashion show will offer a rare chance to appreciate some of this wonderful stagewear intact and in broad daylight, featuring both original costumes as well as newly re-worked creations inspired by the 25-year history of Cock E.S.P." *Parental discretion advised

During AAW you can also find Caitlin's work at Rogue Buddha, Studio Six, and Wild Hare Salon & Gallery. Jamie's work can also be seen at Studio Six. ♥
