Professional Moron is creating funny blog posts to make you laugh like an idiot.

I've run Professional Moron since February 2012 and produce a post a day - two on Sundays. That's over 2,000 posts and counting. All of them written by me.

I also run Moonshake Books - for literary reviews - write novels, short stories, and I'm the editor for Barnes Film Festival in London.

All that lot is well over a million words of content. So I'm committed to the moronic cause, as you can tell. I really enjoy the creative process and it helps me to tick in life.

Professional Moron takes up most of my time. The aim is always to make people laugh with silly posts about whatever enters my head. It's not for everyone, but if surreal humour and ridiculousness are your thing then you should click with it.

I also write about culture to ENLIGHTEN you philistines about interesting stuff I come across. Book reviews, films, TV shows, weird stuff, history, art... you know, culture.

But why should you fork out for that? Well, I got worms. Sorry, I got plans.

One's WordPress business account

All this creative stuff takes a fair bit of time and commitment away from my day job as an astronaut.

The result? This Patreon page exists to support my WordPress plans for the near future. I want to fund the full business package and add a load of fancy new features with plugins, Google Analytics, and whatnot.

That'll help me make the whole Professional Moron experience even more moronic.

Such stuff will also help me in developing my digital marketing career (in which I drift between copywriting, content writing, content managemet, and SEO).

YouTube glory!

In addition to the above, I've wanted to start a YouTube channel for a while now to support the blog, but a lack of time and funds mean I'm generally faffing on the prospect.

I need to buy some software and a microphone for video editing. Do a bit of research. Skill up. Do a few trial runs. Again, silly fun videos would be cool - plus my analysis of video games and films. That's the plan at the moment.

Super Summary 64

I've no idea if anyone will provide anything. Since 2012, I've not expected money for these projects - the goal is to entertain. I can do that in even better style with a bit of extra monthly funding.

I'm a man of honour and can guarantee funds will go towards ensuring this moronic blog rumbles on towards its tenth anniversary in 2022. And your support is greatly appreciated!

This lot will be enough to fund my WordPress business plan and step the blog up a notch. It should also let me get on with my YouTube plans, which I'm hoping to develop towards in Q3 2019.
