Hi!  I'm John Denis and I make a thing (specifically a podcast).  I'm also an assistant professor of music education, former band director, music nerd (and all around nerd come to think of it) with a passion for helping band directors of all type and experience levels to succeed in their classrooms.  Music is a powerful tool for future generations, and my podcast aims to help spread the love of music through band.

I love helping out other music teachers, they are some of the best people around.  And since we know they got into the business for the fame and fortune...I mean for the love of the kids - I figure we can all help each other as much as possible.  To that end, every little bit helps defray the costs of podcasting (that come out of my pocket, just like many supplied did when I was in the public schools) really helps.  Things like hosting are the bare minimum, and any contributions will start there.  Other things, getting show transcriptions/notes, will follow if possible.

Ultimately, I know what challenges and limitations exist for band directors out there, so help me help you (or maybe some other you that works nearby) be the best music educator you can be.

Stay awesome,
John
