Prove's Reviews souvenirs at TI5
$150 per month
I am going to The International 2015 this year! It will be my first time attending and I would love to be able to meet with my fans and more specifically, my patrons! If this milestone is hit, I'll be dedicating that money toward creating some Souvenirs relating to Prove's Reviews to hand out to people who come say hi! Stickers, wristbands, etc etc!
Monthly Patreon prize giveaways!
$250 per month
I will create prize drawings each month to give away crafts and other prizes to my patreon supporters! This will include Dota 2 cosmetics, tickets, items I make (bead sprites, etc), shirts, mugs, and other tangible items relating to Proves Reviews or Dota 2! Any monetary support will make you eligible for these giveaways. I will stream the patreon randoming process on twitch during my 12 hour streaming night! Note: a mailing address could be required for some items.
Video content from TI5
$300 per month
I have a couple of ideas for some fun video content to do while attending TI5. The problem is that I don't have any high quality video/audio recording equipment. With this milestone met, I will be able to buy/rent some equipment to be able to produce content from TI5. I'm incredibly excited about what I have in mind, I just need some help to make it high quality! I don't think recording from my phone would be very good..
Buy a streaming/rendering computer!
$350 per month
With this goal hit, I will be able to buy a desktop computer that is better capable of handling streaming and rendering. Obviously $350 doesn't buy much, but it wouldn't be fair if I asked you guys to buy the whole thing! I've done some research and to get a good quality computer for video editing will cost me around ~$1300. Right now I'm currently using a 6 year old laptop and it has overheating issues - I'm not sure how long it'll last. If I can upgrade my machine, then I'll be able to render my videos a lot faster, as well as reduce the time overall because everything will run faster. In the long run this is the thing that will help me the most in making more content, more frequently. I honestly estimate that I could produce videos about 30% faster since a lot of the time I'm just waiting through lag, waiting for a ram preview, or waiting for a video to finish rendering. This is one of my most important goals!
A new Prove's Reviews series!
$400 per month
I have 2 ideas for new series. One is like guides/tips and tricks for each hero and the other one is more topic/talk show based. Both will be short duration series. When this milestone goal is reached, I will begin making one of these 2 in addition to my other 3 series!
Weekly streaming!
$700 per month
At this milestone, I will begin weekly stream sessions. I've had a lot of people to ask me to stream more often, but sadly with my day job I just can't find the time to do this on top of my video production. With this milestone hit, I'll be monetarily comfortable enough to quit my job and devote more time to Dota 2. I would plan on streaming a few hours a night, 2-3 times a week at least! These streams would periodically include playing with patreon supporters at the $5+ level.
Setup a dedicated recording room
$800 per month
I have been wanting to take my extra bedroom and turn it into a dedicated recording room for my youtube videos as well as live casting. With this milestone hit, I'll be able to begin setting up the room with soundproof panels and invest in a higher quality microphone. I currently use the Blue Yeti, which I am fairly happy with, but it does pick up quite a bit of background noise, so I have to make sure the room is entirely quiet when I'm recording.

What I do: I currently make three different video series. The most important one and my biggest focus is The Dota Difference, which is a series that shows the differences between Warcraft 3 Dota and Dota 2. Each video is focused on one hero and its differences, whether it be bugs or intended fixes. The coolest thing about this series is that even if you don't care about the differences between the two games, you're bound to learn at least one or two neat tricks or mechanics from Dota 2 that you didn't know. Each video takes me a minimum of 15 hours to produce from start to finish. This includes researching the hero's differences, testing the differences in both Dota 1 and Dota 2, recording my footage, writing a script, recording the script, and then editing and compiling all the segments together to make the final product. Some videos have taken upwards of 20-25 hours, and others in the future will take me even longer (items, Rubick and Invoker all come to mind). The release schedule for this series is every Friday!

                                                  Dota Difference on Pudge!

I also have another series called The History of Dota, which showcases what Dota was like in the early patches and how the heroes evolved throughout the years (Riki death ward, Silencer Golems, did you know there was a hero named Conjurer that had 4 summon spells!?). This one requires a lot of hands on research through many patches because it's hard to find information on old Dota patch logs. The release schedule for this series is a little random since I just work on it in my free time when I'm ahead of the differences videos. I do plan on releasing 1 every 2-3 months though. I'm also reevaluating the flow, design, and idea of the series. Before I went through every single patch that the hero was buffed/nerfed in, but I feel like the more interesting points are just in the beginning when all the heroes were very funky. Let me know on twitter @provedota or on the patreon feed what you'd like to see in the series - that would help me a ton :).

History of Dota for The Gambler

My final series, which is not on any specific schedule is called In a Nutshell. This is a commentary recap of a competitive match rolled up into a 3-4 minute video for those of you who work full time jobs and can't watch the many tournaments that happen. These videos take me 5-9 hours per match on average. I really like the idea of this series, and it got very positive feedback from the community. I'd really like to be releasing these more regularly but I need to find a way to reduce production time so that I can release the video shortly after the match took place. I would ideally like to do a recap for every grand finals series, but recapping 3-5 matches takes a lot of time. Again, I'm brainstorming and reevaluating how I could produce these faster without losing its quality.

                                                 In a Nutshell game recap

Why I'm asking for pledges: I have requested to only work 2 days a week at my day job so that I can devote more time to my youtube channel. The only way I make money on my youtube is when my viewers watch ads. A lot of people use adblock (only 1/4 of my views are watched with ads) and I certainly don't blame them for doing so, ads suck! If you use adblock, but still wish to support me, then this is the best way to do so! Even by pledging just $2 a month you would be giving me as much monetary support as you would by watching 200+ video ads in a month. Your support is incredibly appreciated and helps me to continue producing quality videos on a consistent basis. I have set this patreon to a monthly support because I plan on producing 4 Dota Difference videos a month, 1 History of Dota video every 1 to 2 months, and 2-3+ In a Nutshell game recap videos every 1 to 2 months. Please do not feel obligated to donate ANY money! This is my passion and I do it because I enjoy it and I love enlightening the community with interesting differences and other desired content. If you can donate, and want to, that's awesome!! If not, then just watching my videos and giving me encouragement or suggestions is just as awesome to me :). Thanks for checking out my patreon!

How perks work: If you've decided you'd like to support me, then let me tell you how the perks work. After I receive your pledge for that month, I will fulfill the perk! (your card/paypal will be charged at the beginning of the month for the previous months pledge, and I will receive the money shortly after that). You get all previous perk levels below the one you're pledging at as well. So if you pledge $25, you will also get the $2, $5, $10, and $15 perks! Check out the perk levels below!
