PyZim is a non-profit organization based in Harare, Zimbabwe with a mission of  promoting the growth of a livey, dynamic and diverse community of users of the python programming language.

The digital revolution has reached African shores too, and it’s going to be more important than ever in Africa. Programming lies at the heart of information technology, and all across the continent,African websites, applications and other ICT projects all need good programmers. Right now, across much of Africa, huge ICT projects are outsourced to European or American companies, meaning that precious funds leave the continent and key skills don’t get a chance to develop.

PyZim wants to change that - help us sow the seeds of an open-source future in Africa, in which African skills and African people are able to build the projects Africa needs.

We organise the PyCon Zimbabwe conference, Django Girls Harare, Django Girls MasvingoDjango Indaba python programming workshops and meetups and provide a friendly and supportive learning environment. We need sponsors and patrons to keep on doing the important stuff we do!

Your patronage/sponsorship will enable us to:

  • To secure a venue/space where we can hold our monthly meetups and workshops
  • Hold more meetups, seminars, workshops and conferences.
  • Bring financially disadavantaged people in Zimbabwe to our events and functions
  • Provide refreshments during our monthly workshops/meetups.
  • Provide tickets for PyCon Zimbabwe to those who cannot afford

Goals
6% complete
With this we can manage to secure space where we can host our meetups/workshops and provide refreshments to attendees.
