I create video tutorials for Quail Studios when I'm not teaching private students, performing, or practicing. Mostly we have worked on guitar tutorials but there are a few piano tutorials too!

Hi friends, Hal Stead here! I'm a full time guitar and piano teacher in Saint George, Utah, USA.

What makes my video lessons different from other people? I teach you to play songs and sound amazing as a solo artist. The song video lessons are my own arrangements. If you want to learn how to play a song note-for-note you can find many other teachers out there that will help you to do that, but my video lessons are geared to be played on one guitar. They combine the different elements of the song to make one guitar sound awesome!
These online lessons help me to be a more effective teacher to my private students and now they are reaching out around the world and can help you become a better guitarist and musician. There are lessons for beginners as well as intermediate and advanced players. With your help I can continue making video lessons, make them faster, and improve the quality.
So far I have done everything myself as far as the online presence goes including web page development, making videos, editing videos, marketing and everything related to it. Once in a while I get a little help from my family.

In the past I have hired a photographer/videographer to help film and edit videos but that gets very expensive, very fast, so I've cut back again. With more funds coming in from Patreon I can delegate the web development, marketing, and most of the video editing, and spend more time developing content for you.

$10 - Group Hangouts
- I'm doing weekly hangouts where we can address any questions or problems that you are having. We can talk about playing, singing, how to change songs to fit your voice, theory, anything the group would like to do. This will be highly interactive and fun for all! Come and participate or just listen in! (Plus you get the other perks too!) It's pretty sparse so it's a good time to join. :)
