Hi! My name is Petar Korponaić, a (classical) programmer who fell in love with quantum computing and now working on programming tools for the new era of information technology.

What is quantum computing?

Quantum computing is the use of quantum-mechanical phenomena found in elementary particles  to perform computation. It is a new way of computation which allows us to solve hard problems that are unsolvable for classical computers. Solutions to those problems could change the way the world uses energy, revolutionize drug research and development, lead to discovery of new materials, optimize supply chain logistics and more - in short: it will change the world.

Quantum Programming Studio project

https://quantum-circuit.com

"Quantum Programming Studio" is web based IDE for learning, building, testing and executing quantum algorithms on multiple platforms (currently Rigetti, IBM Q, and Google Cirq) for educational and research purpose.

A several years ago I started implementing quantum circuit simulator in JavaScript, and it grew into probably best open source simulator implemented in JavaScript today. You can find it on NPM quantum-circuit

At the end of year 2018, I decided to make UI on top of it, and "Quantum Programming Studio" was born.

Awards

In January 2018, "Quantum Programming Studio" project won a grant from Unitary Fund.
The Unitary Fund is a grant program run by Will Zeng. It funds explorers across the world to work on open source quantum computing. [Blog Post]
The program gives $2k cash grants for projects to develop open source quantum software for near term hybrid quantum-classical programming.

You can help

Project is driven by enthusiasm and love and is free for users but not for me - I am working in my free time (mostly by nights, weekends and holidays) and I am covering expenses for hosting and other related subscriptions required to keep this project running.

My dream is to work full time on this exciting project, and possibly to build startup in the (near) future, to form a team of skilled creative and visionary people to join me on this journey.

Your contribution is very welcome and it will help me to keep moving forward - to improve "Quantum Programming Studio" and popularize quantum computing in general.

Goals
$0 of $50 per month
$50 per month will cover expenses for hosting and other subscriptions/services which keeps quantum-circuit.com site running.
