About Rachel Ohnsman

Hi there! I'm so glad that you've made it to my Patreon page. My name is Rachel; I'm a 23-year-old singer-songwriter currently living in Miami. In addition to writing words and making sounds, I am a teacher, sculptor, and lover of dogs & plants.

I've been playing music since I was a child. Formally, I started taking classical piano lessons at age 10, and voice lessons at age 14. Since then, I have studied classical, musical theatre, jazz, and contemporary music. Now I'm in grad school, working on my second degree in music at the University of Miami. I've taken influence from all the different styles that I've studied and the musical community I'm surrounded by. These days, I'm finding my own voice.

So, why Patreon? I want to share my songs as they develop, and I want to involve the amazing people who support my music. This is a collaborative art, after all. And, well, producing quality music is expensive. The initial creation of a song can happen in an instant, but arranging, playing, recording, mixing, mastering, marketing... that's something else entirely.

As a patron, you'll get access to unreleased music, demos in progress, and behind-the-scenes content that I don't post anywhere else. Covers, musical ideas - it's all fair game. I'll also share other content, like other art I'm making (sculptures, paintings, etc) and projects that I won't post as an artist (film scores, remixes, etc).

I hope you'll join me in this endeavor. I can't wait to share!
