About Radio Drama Revival
I'm so delighted that you're here, and so grateful that you're helping to support the show. I'm generally a pretty talkative guy, but the feelings that this gives me—the delight, relief, gratitude, and wonderment—are leaving me without words.
All I got is "thank you."
And c'mon in! This is Radio Drama Revival: all storytellers welcome.
Who We Are
Radio Drama Revival is a bi-weekly podcast featuring the best of contemporary audio drama (work produced after the golden age of radio). We also occasionally dabble in exploring earlier audio works from a cultural/historical perspective.
Broadcast and podcast since 2007, we have over 450 hours of original, contemporary audio fiction here for your listening pleasure.
I'm your host, David Rheinstrom, but I'm far from the only person who makes this show.
Our line producer is Wil Williams!
Our interviews producer is Eli McIlveen!
Our researcher is Heather Cohen!
Our producer is Sean Howard!
Our submissions editor is Elena Fernández Collins!
And our executive producer (and host emeritus) is Fred Greenhalgh.

What We Do
RDR is a beacon, a signal-repeater, a lighthouse in the dark! Our mission is to "showcase the diversity and vitality of modern audio fiction", and we do that in a couple of ways:
1. Playing other people's shows: we've featured scores of wonderful creations on the podcast, some you won't be able to find anywhere else.
2. Interviewing creators: we've talked to people like Lauren Shippen from The Bright Sessions, Eli McIlveen from Alba Salix, Royal Physician, David K Barnes and Andy Goddard from Wooden Overcoats, Mischa Stanton and Daniel Manning from ars PARADOXICA, and many more! We strive to discuss craft, history, and above all else, delight!
3. Going Deep! This is what I call it when I bring on experts to discuss something audio drama-related, but not necessarily something new. Here's me an' Gabriel Urbina from Wolf 359, discussing his favorite episode of the classic horror radio show Quiet, Please. Here's a discussion with Prof. Neil Verma about an episode of Lights Out. And here's a discussion about hoax fiction with podcast critic (and now line producer!) Wil Williams.
Why We Do It
We love audio fiction. It's intimate, it's intense, it's beautiful, it's cheap, it's expansive, it's uproarious, it's accessible, it's enabling a new generation of creators to take stories into their own hands, and it's good.
