About RDU on Stage

It's a website. It's a podcast. It's a community. Not to get too grandiose about it, but with the decline of performing arts coverage in our local newspapers, RDU on Stage was formed to support theater-makers in Central North Carolina by:

  • Providing fair and honest reviews of shows;
  • Sharing features and interviews to preview upcoming productions;
  • Delivering a monthly comprehensive theater calendar; and
  • Producing a weekly performing arts podcast spotlighting local theaters and theater-makers.

We need your support because there are expenses associated with keeping the website and podcast up and running, including:

  • Hosting Fees
  • Licensing Fees
  • Equipment Costs & Maintenance

In addition, we believe like artists, our writers should get paid for the content they produce. We would also like to be able to send our writing staff to upcoming theater conferences and workshops to become well versed on issues affecting the theater community and arts journalism. All of this is reflective of our commitment to provide fair and impartial coverage and reach a high standard of journalistic integrity.

So, thank you for your support. Follow us on Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram @rduonstage, visit us online, or subscribe to the podcast on Apple, Stitcher, Spotify, iHeartRadio, or wherever you listen to podcasts, to be in the know and celebrate our dynamic performing arts community.

We'll see you at the theater!
