About Megan | Red Around the World
Hey there! I'm so glad you're here and hope you'll join me!
Just in case you don't know (if you're here, you probably do) I'm Megan and I run the blogs Red Around the World and Hey, I'm Reading. When I discovered travel blogs in college, I knew I wanted to do that, too. It started as a place to share pictures and not much else, growing to be a place where I share everything you need to know to plan once-in-a-lifetime road trips and weekend getaways alike.
When I was little, I always enjoyed any family trips we went on but I really wanted to be an artist when I grew up. While I may not be there 100%, I'm on my way there and this is bringing me one step closer to that.
Over the years I've done photography, watercolor painting, acrylic painting, ceramics, collages, embroidery, polymer clay, drawing, baking, sculpture, and so much more. And that's not even to mention everything I haven't tried yet but want to.
Over seven years later, I finally decided to start a Patreon to share extra content with you and get to know you more.
Why I'm on Patreon
If I have enough Patrons, I'll be able to blog and make art full-time, which is the dream, right? I'm on my way there with blogging but the art is a lot tougher and your support here will help me work on that. It will allow me to create more, try new things and you'll even get to vote on what I work on first.
I want to be able to create the best content possible on my blog to help you plan the best trips possible which, of course, takes time and money, but your support here will help me do that with awesome (I think) perks for you.
Here you'll get first looks at projects and trips, updates on travel and life plans before anyone else, sneak peeks into my regular non-internet life, extra pictures from adventures, and some other fun things. You'll also get first dibs on any new art in my shop and exclusive discounts on it!
