Hey loves!!! Thanks for stopping by!

Welcome. For those who don't know me, I'm Brittini "Ree Belle" Gray. Ree Belle is an ode to the women who have come before me (my grandmother and her cousin, J. Ree and L. Bell), my name is a reminder that black women are always at the forefront and in the background of revolution. It is also a call to action, to never settle for oppression nor injustice, but always fight for the liberation of the masses!

Beyond my work as an organizer/consultant and activist, I am also an artist. Known mostly as a poet, I am now taking the time to spread my wings! With an emerging production company- Ebon Raw Productions, I'm venturing into filmmaking, zines, and podcasting now.

Movement Women: The Making of a Crew began with simply wanting to capture conversation to be archived. 18 months later we have a short film, we've been in 3 film festivals and now, I am gearing up for a docuseries! I am looking to grow my team to include a videographer and editor, so becoming a patron would be great in helping me afford to do so.

In collaboration with Kris Blackmon, we will launch our podcast this Spring- exploring the invisibility, erasure and exploitation of black women. The podcast will feature guests as well as discuss current events, we still need a little seed money for this project.

For Pearl, With Love...a zine
, is finally gearing up for the first issue to go to print! The zine exists at the intersections of justice, healing and art! My role as artist-in-residence at InPower Institute has carved out the space and time for me to undertake this endeavor, you becoming a patron ensures that the many artist who submitted their work are able to be seen by wider audiences through distribution.

I also write poetry and prose and will post here, along with live recordings of poetry. I'm currently working on a series, Oaks and Magnolias that intertwines enslaved narratives with contemporary motifs around  issues of justice and black liberation, and is working towards building out an alternative mythology to black folks and our destiny within the poetry.

I'm excited about you joining my community!
