As one of the original developers of ExpressionEngine, I have dreamed for years of creating the 2.0 version that I always wanted. With the rise of the powerful Laravel framework and the ability to take an entire summer off from full-time work, I finally started building that CMS in May 2017 and have continued building it out as I can find time. If you want to see what this becomes, please consider supporting me and help me make it a reality.
This CMS is meant to be open-source. It will be built on top of Laravel and be designed as an application within that framework, while also allowing additional features and tools to be built alongside the CMS. It will have a fully functioning Control Panel that will give you the ability to have weblogs, posts, categories, and template editing abilities natively while being expandable via Plugins. Plugins can have their own control panels and will also be able to extend functionality of the native application via Laravel Events. The templates use the Twig Template language and are saved to the file system, allowing easy integration with version control.
Oh, and before I forget, multiple sites are possible natively, no charge.
