There's an abundance of constructive responses to current global crises being demonstrated around the world, which deserve urgent, widespread recognition and support. Yet they are rarely taken seriously in mainstream media, in schools or as policy options.

ReStory is an online news-feed and storytelling resource that adds to the work of the free-thinking writers, communicators of courage and media of meaning who are weaving the new narrative of our time.

This narrative is critically important, because we need structural changes to happen, and fast. But these changes require political will. And political will needs popular support. The shifting landscapes of today's politics offer a huge opportunity to raise support for the constructive choices available to us - as long as awareness is spread quickly.

But the mainstream channels are showing that they're currently not up to the job, choosing to stick to old stories and please corporate paymasters rather than to reflect the urgency of the challenges at hand, the options for tackling them and the people who are rising up and calling for them.

Luckily there are other channels: alternative media, brave broadcasters, maverick teachers, independent writers. ReStory is here to complement, support and augment their courageous efforts.

ReStory highlights scalable stories of social and ecological restoration. It also demonstrates new ways of framing, telling and contextualising these stories to give them the reach, power and authority they deserve.

With your support, ReStory can continue on its mission to help us manifest a new story of humanity; a story based on the regeneration and restoration of ecological systems, on the integration of human communities and culture back into those systems, on the revival of natural, circular flows of energy and resources, and on co-operation, diversity, peace, common ownership, equality, fairness and compassion.

ReStory is currently updated sporadically, as a labour of love, by me for no pay. With a small regular monthly income I can guarantee two full days keeping fresh news stories coming and adding to the information resources.
