About Suzanne M. Lewis

It is with great joy that we announce the work of our nonprofit corporation, Revolution of Tenderness. Since 2011, we have been providing engrossing and relevant programming through the work of the Pittsburgh Encounter and now the three-day Pittsburgh Festival of Friendship, a free and open cultural festival offering exhibits, concerts, and fascinating speakers on diverse topics, including the value and dignity of human work, the impact of genetic testing, how the building of the Cathedral of Milan was funded, Jean-François Millet's paintings, human desire, the literary work of Flannery O’Connor, Edward Hopper's paintings, interfaith dialogue, hospitality, pilgrimage, science in the Middle Ages, Appalachian music, John Henry Newman, Catechesis of the Good Shepherd, Baroque music, contemporary poetry, how to face recent global trends in human migration, the American dream, the problem of human trafficking…and much more.
In addition, we sponsor a publishing house, Mandylion Books, which publishes several new titles per year, including Convivium, a journal of arts, culture, and testimony. Convivium's annual literary conference and online school have been bringing writers, artists, and musicians together to collaborate and continue important conversations on myriad subjects to do with art, education, and contemporary life.
Our mission is to offer cultural and educational events and publications inspired by our tireless openness to all that is lovely and good; convinced, moreover, that human freedom only flourishes within a tenacious faithfulness to communion, our programming always seeks out and privileges unity in ourselves, within our world, and in our community.

Goals
