Hi, I'm Richard Moore, illustrator, storyteller, and  Keeper of Cats.  If you're a fan of modestly successful independent comics, you might know me as the creator of Boneyard, Far West, and Fire and Brimstone, among others.
I left comics a few years back because my wife and cats stubbornly insist on eating, and the indy comic creator gig pays only slightly better than phlegm-on-a-stick vendor.  I'm hoping Patreon will allow me to actually make a living through comics, while delivering something closer to my original vision.

If you join me as a supporter in this Patreon adventure, here's what you'll get :

I intend to maintain two streams of new comics content : one will be for strips and short stories, and the other for longer, ongoing story arcs.  (I'll be blogging on the reasons for this once things get going.)  Here are some of the titles that will be appearing:

  • Far West -
    • The Western Territories are wilder than our Old West ever was, and populated by magic-wielding elves, ogres and trolls.  Meg is a hard-drinking, no bullshit elf bounty hunter, and Phil is her talking bear sidekick. (Past issues coming soon on Comic Fury.)
  • Fire & Brimstone-
    • A demon and a cherub are unlikely friends who accidentally let hundreds of demons and rogue angels escape into the mortal world.  Their punishment?  Spend as many centuries as it takes to capture the escapees and bring them back.  (Past issues coming soon.)
  • Gobs-
  • Chip-
    • Chip is a gargoyle who could fit in your hand, but he knows he could be scarier than even the biggest gargoyle if he only had the chance. His life is a constant effort to prove his fierceness to the rest of the world. Past issues: https://comicfury.com/comicprofile.php?url=Chip
  • The Pound-
    • Chimeras, or "chims", are genetically engineered human/animal hybrids, created to serve humans in everything from combat to hazardous labor to "the pleasuring arts". A social movement led to the Chimera Emancipation Act--but freedom comes with a catch: all liberated chims must live within the same violent, poverty-plagued city, known as...The Pound. Past issues: comicfury.com/comicprofile.php?url=ThePound

  • Creep's End-
    • Marna is a twenty-something slacker bored with the magical world she lives in.  When a stray blast of magic turns her cat into a monster, Marna finds herself caught in the crossfire of a confusing --and annoying--magical feud. ...Or is there something more sinister going on?
  • Superzeroes
    • When a supervillain kills 99% of the world's superheroes in one fell swoop, the government drafts lookalikes and impersonators to pose as surviving heroes and avoid mass panic.
  • Goody Gumdrop-
    • Goody is the worst fairy ever.  See her shitty attitude screws things up for those around her, especially her best and only friend, Melanie Moonpie.
Any support you can offer will not only help me keep bringing these stories and characters to you, but it will also allow me to finally acquire the supplies to do them properly (a drawing table, a chair, pens, etc), and improve the quality.

Thanks to all my readers, past and future, as I quite literally can't do this without you!
