Welcome to Autumn! I'm Ricky, and I'm a traditional oil painter and digital artist.

Welcome to Autumn is an art project about a fictional town called Autumn, Virginia - a community nestled against the spectacular Blue Ridge Mountains in the Shenandoah Valley. The unfolding story follows the 150+ year history of the city's rise, fall, and eventual renaissance.

A few of my mini-projects:

It's part American retrospective and part vision of a more ideal future. All together, it's an art, history, research, and sociology project.

I'm asking for help with funding through Patreon. As of now, I'm creating 3d models to sell while, at the same time, also selling my animal silhouettes. I'm grateful that you all are my sponsors. Funds go towards my expenses like supplies, software, and books.

You can follow along as I create each building, character, scene, etc. The 3d models will be used to set up scenes to paint. I have bonus features for patrons including a chance to become an official resident and have your name listed in the Autumn citizen registry.

Whether you contribute or not, my work will still be available to view along with my behind-the-scenes progress. I'm looking for support to continue the series and make sure it's as accurate and beautiful as possible.
