Our Mission

Our mission is to open a full service indoor BMX/Skateboard/Scooter park within Central Iowa. We want to design and build a facility with features accessible to riders/skaters of all ages and abilities.

This is not a project that I have taking on lightly I have given very long hard thought and consideration to the actual viability of whether or not an indoor bike and skate park can be profitable enough to keep its doors open for any length of time. The reason many private parks fail is because they are managed and ran like a skate park rather than a proper business with long term goals.

Many people have opened private skate parks over the years only to discover they could not generate the income to cover the monthly costs of the facility over the long haul. Many of these failed endeavors quite possible could have flourished with a few key simple changes.

Session Schedule: Your facility should not only cater to seasoned riders/skaters but also be dedicated to introducing an entire new generation of riders and skaters into the world of extreme sports. You need to have a session schedule that reflects your dedication to beginners and seasoned riders/skaters alike. You should hold weekly clinics for new comers to these sports, have family sessions and of course set aside times for the more seasoned enthusiasts the ability to hone their craft. A proper session schedule can be a key factor between success and failure.

Additional Services: Your facility should also include a full service bike shop a separate skate shop and a concessions area. You should feature a rental center for those looking to try their hand in the park before purchasing their own equipment. You should offer private party rentals for things like birthday parties and private riding/skating sessions you should. During the fall/winter/early spring months your facility should flourish especially if you are located in a colder region where inclement weather is the norm. During the summer months you should offer a summer camp program and try working with local schools and such to promote your camp sessions. You should make your facility as family friendly as possible making it the go to place for fun and excitement.
Community outreach: Community outreach should be a big part of your overall effort of success. You should work with local boys and girls clubs; youth centers etc. in setting up free time for them have access to the facility.

As for our Vision:
Ideally the interior of our facility would include approximately 10,000sf for the main park features 1500sf for a full service bike shop and rental center a 750-1000 sf workout facility, 350-500sf for a skate shop, another 350-500sf for concessions (snack bar) and 250sf for the admissions center.

Our goal is to find enough backers willing to pledge monthly support to help fund the costs of running the facility. This will give us a built in cash flow allowing us to secure a loan and build the facility, if all goes well once we open the facility your monthly pledge will be rewarded in the form of session passes.

These are concept drawings of the Zone 74 complex located in Scotland and similar to what we envision as a viable indoor layout. (these images are not meant to represent our actual planned layout)

We have the concept, desire, know-how and drive for this project but currently lack the funding or financial backers to make it happen. We are also looking for serious individuals or companies interested in partnering and supporting such an effort. We are currently putting together a business plan so if this concept is of interest to you please contact us..

This is a serious effort to do something good and bring something new to Central Iowa for the young and young at heart.

Goals
$9 of $5,000 per month
If we can reach a goal of $5000 per month we will have a verifiable built in cash flow showing we can cover the monthly costs of a facility. This will allow us to move on to the next step of obtaining the financing to build the facility.
