Hey there, my name is Richard, on the internets I go by the username Rilem.

I live in a small European country below sea level, that’s why it’s called the Netherlands! ;D
 
 
I’m a game artist by trade, and on my game development adventures I’ve picked up a rather peculiar set of hobbies, such as audio design, storytelling, programming, and ux design. 
 
 
All of these facets can be combined into something magical, something that evokes the sense of adventure in all of our hearts. A game.

 At one point of my life I came to an utterly inescapable conclusion:
 I must become an independent game developer. 
 
For as long as I can remember I’ve wanted to make games. Through hard work and also a good dose of luck, I managed to have the privilege to work in the game industry for about 9 years professionally.
 
 
The times when I was most happy though, were the times spent working on games outside of the professional context. Weekend gamejams and hobby projects, these are the games I feel most proud of. It gives me no greater joy to see that these games are making people happy.
 
 
With your help I’m going to make it happen. I promise you my games will inflame your hearts, take you on epic adventures and surprise you in ways that will put a big smile on your face! :D

Currently I'm working on 
Mighty Goose, an epic run &amp; gun style arcade shooter! I'm doing this under my own game label, Blastmode!
