Ritual Dust

<img src="https://ritualdust.com/img/about/me.jpg" title="">I’m a fantasy and folk artist interested in illustrating worlds that were, imagined worlds and worlds that could be. I&nbsp; dig into folk knowledge and ancestral memory to find better and more sustainable ways to live – culture that connects us with the land and each other, and magical practices that give life meaning and enchantment – and channel it through artworks, illustrated stories, music, and printed zines and paraphernalia. I'm not seeking historical accuracy, nor do I follow new-age reinterpretations, instead focusing on transmuting old knowledge and practices into new ways of interpreting the world we live in. A lot of the folklore and stories I tell through my art come from my own subjectivity and experiences, and I share them with the intention of inspiring and encouraging others to look at the world in different ways, and perhaps make their own creative folklore from their own lived realities.I currently have three ongoing projects that I document extensively on this Patreon: an upcoming collection of <a href="https://ritualdust.bandcamp.com/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">folk electronics songs</a>, a table-top RPG fantasy setting called <a href="https://www.instagram.com/piousrotrpg/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Pious Rot</a>, and a zine of ghost stories and haunted imagery called <a href="https://fantomeszine.com/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Fantômes</a>. Aside from those, you’ll also find all the sketches and studies I draw every month alongside writing on folklore and art that inspire me, as well as some occasional travel logs.
