The Roaring Elephant podcast has been going strong since November 2015 and since then we have (hopefully) delivered weekly meaningful content on Open Source, Advanced Analytics and other "Big Tech". To distract from the (sometimes inane) banter between your co-hosts, the podcast often features special guests and on-site reports from Big Tech events.
Our community has enjoyed considerable, steady growth and the financial consequences are becoming an obstacle to that continued growth: the rare commercial sponsorships we accept are more often than not raffled off to you!
So we turn to you, our listeners: if you enjoy the podcast, you can help improve and grow the community by becoming a Roaring Patreon and contributing a small amount every month.
We tried to find some fun rewards for the different Patreon tiers, but know that whatever amount you can spare, you are the one that makes independent community content like this podcast possible!
Thank you for visiting our Patreon page and as always, our names are Jhon and Dave and we look forward to talking to you next week!
Update 24-06-2019: Thanks to sponsor Manning Publications, we can now offer all our Patreons a great discount on everything on the Manning Publications store, as often as you like.
Visit their website to see the extensive catalog of technical content and check out episodes 141 and 143 when we had author Jean-Georges Perrin on as a guest to review his book "Spark in Action".
We should have around 100 Patreons at this point which is a good indication that you do want us to grow, so when we reach this goal, we will start making video podcasts.
The audio podcast is not going anywhere! It just means that you will have the choice to also see us when you listen to the show. We'll let you decide if that is a good or bad thing... ;)
