Hi I am a PhD student in statistics and I like producing content to help people get started in using R.
The way I am doing this is through application, that is I hope that by creating online blog posts in a sporting context it will encourage those who are into sport to give coding a crack. I think that fundamentally its much easier to learn something if you find the context interesting, which is why with James I have created an R package that allows fans of Australian Rules Football to analyse the game.
I also interview leaders in Sports Analytics so that people who aren't in the industry can hear from those people to get ideas around breaking into the industry but also how the industry works itself.
