About myself
I'm Robert Conley and have been playing wargames since 1977 and tabletop roleplaying since 1978. What set my game apart from others was I allowed players to "trash" the setting. In 1980, I adopted Judges Guild Wilderlands of High Fantasy as my fantasy setting and decided to make the result of the current campaign the background of the next campaign. Over the next three decades, I tweaked and altered things to the point where it became its own thing, The Majestic Wilderlands.

I have used a variety of RPGs to run campaigns set in the Majestic Wilderlands including AD&D 1st edition, Fantasy Hero, GURPS (2e, 3e, and 4e), D&D 3.X, Harnmaster, Fate, Fudge, D&D 4e, Fantasy Age, D&D 5e and OD&D in the form of Swords & Wizardry. During this, I developed a life long love of mapping and quickly adopted the use of computer software as a drawing aid.

Why Patreon?
I generated a lot of material in the course of refereeing and playing over the years. I've shared and published some of it, but there is still more material in various states of preparation. With your generosity I will be able to complete additional, useful content for you and others. This is especially true of the material I created since the release of the Majestic Wilderlands supplement.

A commitment to Open Content
Outside of the works I release, I have a strong commitment to open content. My maps and writings stand on the shoulder of giants whose creative imagination thrilled me in my childhood and as an adult. From works of Homer, the tales of Gilgamesh, and the latest release in the Expanse series or the Dresden Files. It is only fitting that I return at least a portion of what I do back into wellspring for others to use as they see fit.

What to expect.
In general the material I release here will fall into four main categories; The Majestic Wilderlands, maps, hexcrawl settings related to Blackmarsh, and miscellaneous. For an example of miscellaneous, I have a science fiction setting called the Majestic Stars. Most releases will be finished sections of the various projects I been working on. Those who opt in at the contributor level will receive free PDFs and an at-cost discount for printed books when completed.

Thank you for reading. I hope you become a patron. Keep tabs here and at my blog at Bat in the Attic for news about future developments.
