Well hello, and thank you for visiting our patreon page!!

Roll Like a Girl is an actual-play D&D5e podcast, hosted by an all-women cast. We have been playing since the summer of 2017, and having a marvelous time. Mainly, we try to make each other laugh, and to make our listeners feel like they're hanging out at the table with us.

We love making this show, and making it freely available, but podcasting is a surprisingly expensive hobby! Our goals for this fund are to cover hosting and storage costs, slowly upgrading our gear, and being able to make occasional appearances at conventions and such. Beyond that, we mostly want to connect with our audience, and build a good community of friends. Our show is all about having a good, nerdy time, and the more people we can involve in that, the better.

If that’s all you need to know, please consider pledging! All our patrons get a cool sticker of our logo, and a hand-written thank you note. If you want to know more, below we have included everything you need to know about the show.

Current Season: The Golden Crane Society

Our current season follows Kishori, a Paladin of Utu (played by Sarah); Isabetta, a mysterious Enchantress (played by Livi); and Lidiya, a Warlock of the Undying (played by Therin). They are all colleagues in the Golden Crane Society, a league of adventurers working out of the Serene Republic of Venice.

The setting is a high-magic alternate Earth that has been engineered by Nicci. Our story takes place at the start of the Revolution, as the girls are contracted to save Ivellios Arnaud, the last remaining member of the French royal family.

Current Cast

The current cast is made up of Sarah Meyers, Nicci Barrett, Livi Turnbull, and Therin Stapp, a group of women from varied bits of the US.

Talk to us! We’re nice. The first and best place for news about the show, pictures of the food we’re eating, and our hot takes on all kinds of role playing game nonsense is Discord. Anyone can join our server by clicking here. If you’re on discord and you decide to become a patron, you will automatically get funnelled into the club.

The next best thing is to follow us on Twitter. Here is a list of everyone
Show business: @rolllikeagirl
Sarah: @momma_mcsnazzy
Nicci: Haunts our discord
Livi: @liviturnbull
Therin: @explosiverunes

Season One: Four Girls and a Wagon

Our first season followed Nat the Bear, Willow the Cleric, Nova the Rogue, and Amera the Sorcerer. They became fast friends after deciding to take a job together from the the Enclave job board, and got swept into an adventure with mimics, powerful artifacts, and dragons. (Don’t ask about the wagon.)

The setting was Sarah’s home world, Nivarn, populated primarily with Amera’s many aunties. If you’re looking to listen to a complete story that’s got a lot of goofs and a few emotional moments that will punch you right in the gut, this is where you want to start.

Season Two: Adventures in Chel

The second season followed Tamana (played by Nicci), Charlie (played by Sarah), Meemaw (played by Lauren), and Gronk (played by Livi). They all met during the annual Crab Festival in the desert city of Esterim, where, essentially, they caused a lot of mayhem.

This season was run by Therin in her home setting, Chel. It was cut short because of Lauren’s departure, so there are a lot of loose ends floating around, but even without closure these characters were a delight to play and listen to.

Previous Cast

Lauren Meyers

You can hear Lauren in the first two seasons of the show! She had to leave when work, school, and life made scheduling too difficult. You can find her on Twitter @thenat1lady, or hear her on our sibling show, Tabletop Champions.

Art Credits

None of us are artists, and RLAG wouldn’t look nearly as good without Ada, who made our dragonhead logo; Lilibeth Leon, who did our season 1 character art; Emmy, who did our headshots and season 2 character art; and Alysa Avery, who did our season 3 character art.

We also would be nothing at all, without the Freak Fandango Orchestra, whose song “Hey Moe” is our theme music for the show. We found it at freemusicarchive.org and you can buy their stuff at freakfandango.bandcamp.com
