A simple webcomic involving the lives of lovable characters

In 2007 I started The Roomies, a story that revolved around the lives of three characters and how they came together. In 2012, I had unfortunately put that comic on hold due to my personal life and projects and keeping up with a weekly comic started to become a second thought due to juggling my move and work. Well, I’d like to announce that after a lengthy hiatus, I am returning to continue the story I intended starring Mary, Swirly and Andy.

The story started with the three casually meeting for the first time, desperate for living space. Mary Ann Tigress, a former country girl seeking a career in modelling and fame finding it difficult to cope with rejection. Swain “Swirly” Jenkins, a computer geek who quit college to pursue another venture in her career while enjoying her passion of video games. And Andy Katt, a quiet artist whose desperation for a job coincides with his constant bad luck that always puts him in precarious situations.

The comic itself is a little bit comedy, a little bit drama and is just my own variation on a cute little slice of life. It has grown a bit of a following I was not expecting since I created it. People have often come to me requesting the return, asking me when I might continue the story, well, with your help, that can be now.

As a goal, I would like to bring Roomies back on a weekly basis, continuing the story page by page as long as I possibly can with the help of Patreon patrons. And as thanks for your help, I will be providing perks and special early access to the comics as their being made. As well as access to special artwork that will only be posted on Patreon.

Keep in mind, Patreon is not a subscription service and is merely a way to provide help to artists based purely on the good will of viewers who would like to give a boost.

There will be a few drawings, pin-ups and comic strips a month that will be posted as early access for Patrons, however there will also be artwork exclusive on PATREON for PATRONS ONLY!!! There will also be polls, character Q&A’s, Stream access and guest drawings that will be available

Risks and Challenges:
From time to time I expect that I will miss a deadline due to lack of free time or sudden obligations (work/freelance etc) and I will try my best to get back on track when that happens. Don’t worry, as long as the Roomies Patreon is up, the webcomic will be updated. I don’t plan to let my audience down.
IMPORTANT COMMISSION GUIDELINES: By agreeing to the terms and being a part of the $25 or $75 tier(s) The Patron is allowed one drawing every 2 months of a character of their choice.
-Patron must provide reference of the character they would like drawn.
-Sketch drawings involve one character only, no multiple character requests.
-Another character can be offered provided patron has paid in the same tier for the third month (example: 1st drawing for $25 tier patron for one month, 2nd drawing $25 tier patron for three months, etc etc.)
-Drawing will not be made until payment for tier has been processed within the month.
-Following drawings and prints will be provided given patron is still within the $25 or $75 tier for three months and beyond. (This means, if patron edits their tier under $25 or $75 or discontinues patronage in those tiers after the first payment or beyond, they will no longer be provided with future drawings or prints until they continue patronage within those tiers)
-Sketches for the patrons of the $75 tier will be provided via email for approval before being shipped.
-By being a part of the sketch commission tiers, Patron trusts the judgement of the artist (Andrew Dickman) in providing a drawing based on the reference and subject provided by the patron. All changes must be minor and not drastic changes after completion (ex. changing the pose, outfit, expression etc once completed)
-Patrons outside the US must pay an additional $8 on their donation to ensure shipment.
-Shipping sketches and prints will be within a bubble envelope and within sturdy packaging to the best of my ability. I can’t ensure tracking will be provided for all shipments and I’m not responsible for lost or damaged mail, I’m sorry. Patron must assume the risks.

IMPORTANT NOTE ON $50 PATRON TIER: By agreeing to the terms and being a part of the $50 tier, allowance of your character cameo does not allow you to request inclusion of your character in the story of The Roomies. That means I will not accept story requests or requests to include the character more often in the comic itself. Patrons of the $50 tier are allowed one cameo for one to two panels ONLY! Cameos are limited to a few panels depending on the scene and is not determined by popularity or involvement. You are also in agreement of allowing your character cameo to be used within the comic series for the purposes of future publication and printing in cameo ONLY. All rights of the character of the patron itself are strictly that of the patrons and not the property of Andrew Dickman or the comic, Roomies.
PATRON TIER PERKS:
$1 - All supporters will be listed on a special page of the website and be greatly appreciated, Roomies will continue thanks to your contribution!
$5 - Those on this tier and above will be granted special VIP access to streams of the comic as it’s being made, see the comic BEFORE it’s out. Be aware that streams are on specific times on specific days when I can get to them. Streams for Roomies comics specifically will be for $5 tier patrons and above ONLY.
$10 - Those on this tier and above will be given access to special polls and Q&A sessions. Access to Patreon exclusive drawings, guest drawings and pin-ups.
Following tiers are unavailable at this time:
$25 - (LIMIT 5) Get a drawing of your character digitally sketched during special VIP stream sessions! Once every other month. (must follow specific commission guidelines)
$50 - Your own character (or anthro version of yourself) will make a cameo appearance in a page! This will happen on a random panel that fits the scene (such as a crowd scene or background character) and only for those in the $50 tier! (please provide reference of your character for future reference. Must also follow specific tier guidelines)
$60 - (LIMIT 10) Get a special print made only for Patrons, signed and mailed. Special print will be made per patron and mailed every other month! +$8 for international
$75 - (LIMIT 5) Super Special VIP!!! Get a PHYSICAL sketch of one character AND special bimonthly print mailed to you every other month!!! +$8 for international (must follow specific commission guidelines)

GOALS:
$50-$399/month - Thank you for helping Roomies return! Comic updates weekly
$400+/month - Roomies will be in full color each week!
$1,000+/month - Roomies will be back and bigger than ever, special bonus images of the Roomies characters.
$2,500+/month - Roomies will get a special side comic strip!
$3,500+/month - Extra things like pin ups, more guest drawings, calendar drawings, a Tumblr for character Q&A, and a shop for other extra stuff!
