Hi, my name is Barbara and I create couture corsets, costumes and wearable art under the name Royal Black.

Here on Patreon I want to share my passion for creating wearable art with likeminded people.

I am posting detailed work in progress diaries of my creations - from first inspiration, sketches, patternmaking, material sourcing and sewing & crafting techniques, on to creating the original garment and finally bringing the designs to life in photoshoots.

Apart from that I'm creating downloadable PDF tutorials about patternmaking, sewing and crafting techniques, materials and everything else related to costume making for those of you who want to get started or are already creating costumes and corsets yourself.

Each tutorial is about 20 - 40 pages long and I am publishing a new tutorial every month.

In the 10$ tier I'm also doing occasional live hangouts, where you can join me for a cosy chat or ask any questions you might have about costume and corsetmaking, tailoring or my work in general.

Finally I am also sharing exclusive weekly updates on what is going on behind the scenes and what is coming up next for Royal Black, insights into being a fulltime artist in the fashion/costume industry and I'll give you the chance to vote on upcoming projects, if you want to.
