The Art
My illustration and comics draw from the history of accessible print and icon culture: manga, american pulp comics, broadsides, traditional tattoos, and Christian icons. I enjoy bright colors, big letters, and the sense of an underlying story.
Currently, my main personal project is GQutie, a series of autobiographical comics about my experiences with gender in the everyday as a genderqueer person. I'm also a contributing comic artist for Everyday Feminism, creating educational political content. New projects will come and go over time, and you will get to aid in and experience their development!
What You Get
By supporting me on Patreon, you first of all get the satisfaction of helping me be able to produce more work! I am no longer unemployed, but I don't have much of a buffer for unexpected expenses. With your help, I can have the security to work with less worry, and maybe even save for a studio space or new computer so I can work more effectively. All of that adds up to seeing more art from me!
Second of all, you will get to experience the behind-the-scenes work I do to make GQutie and my other projects happen! I will release my sketchbook pages each month and other development pieces and answer questions about my work. In time, I even hope to host streams for people to see how I make art in real time!
If all goes well, I may start work on a secondary long comic to be released free to the public, with Patrons getting first looks the whole way!
(Disclaimer: Access to only my independent work is guaranteed. Anthologies and other projects may want limited exposure that would require me to not share my contribution to their books.)
