Howdy! If you're here (and you almost certainly are), then we probably know each other already. If not, thanks for stopping in--I hope to get to know you soon! If so, thanks for being here too--I'm glad to call you a friend and I'm grateful for your checking out this thing.

Why I’m Here: I believe God created us to be creative beings. I interact with the world internally through music—I’m that guy always humming across the cubicle wall, an ever-present soundtrack in my head undergirding each moment of the day. I love the artistry and power of words—whether of lyrics to a favorite song or an expertly crafted story. In 2017 I began writing songs regularly after toying with the craft since high school. In 2018 I began feeling compelled to make a serious attempt at writing prose for the first time since my youth as well (yes, I was a strange young man who fancied myself a writer at 12). I’m also a father, husband, and Swiss Army nerd. Instead of seeing all these pursuits at odds with each other for my limited time, I’m combining them here.

So here's the deal: The two main branches of this creative effort are music and the written word. Subscribing to either guarantees you’ll get fresh, exclusive stuff weekly, while subscribing to both means you’ll get more (but you knew that already, you clever person). I’m putting myself out there: in 2019, I’m shooting for a new song written and recorded every week, as well as some creative bit of writing (articles, short stories, essays, serials). For as little as $1 per month, you can watch this madness unfold, but subscribing at higher levels brings cooler rewards, such as audio versions of stories and articles, behind the scenes videos from the studio, stage, and road, and even giving direction to the content itself (ever participate in a group choose-your-adventure? You can do that here).

Why subscribe: You should subscribe because of all the cool things I said in the last paragraph.
Though seriously, if we are created to be creative beings, we’re also created for community; and those two things are intertwined. Today’s economy is dominated by passive producers and disconnected consumers, and the music and literature industries are no exceptions. Here I’m calling forth instead a community of collaborators, and this is my invitation to you to join in. Thank you for being here, and for considering becoming a patron.

Goals
3 of 10 patrons
At 10 patrons, I can pay for my digital presence (website, etc.), meaning it no longer costs me money every month to share my music and stories with the world.

As a thank you for getting to this goal, I'll host a house concert, and make you dinner!
