About Iman Tohami

If you’ve found your way here, it’s likely because you’ve stumbled across my mental health podcast or my social media accounts. I’ve been sharing in that space for a couple years now; working to deliver helpful, safe, and accurate mental health information in an accessible way.

Early on it became clear that, as my podcasts touch on sensitive topics, they’re not always the most advertiser friendly, how do you promote hand soap when you just talked about depression?

Patreon is one of the ways I’ve found to help make our content possible, and it has a few added bonuses.

1. Partners. Let's built an honest community in Patreon.

I’m a Licensed Clinical Psychologist and Therapist, and I got into this business because I love to work with individuals. My podcast lets me care for the mental health of thousands of people all at the same time, but for me, interaction with individuals is essential. I need to hear from people, to know what is helping, and my patrons are the select group of people I invite into my feedback loop.

Not only do my Patrons make my content possible, they help keep it relevant and helpful.

2. Prioritized. The Patreon tiers are set up so that I can prioritize this community. If you've been following me on Instagram or subscribing to my podcast but want more access to me, or want me to address specific questions - this is the spot for you.

I’m not trying to replace therapy; I understand that therapy can be expensive or unavailable, but I may be able to provide some affordable resources to meet you where you are. And becoming a patron is just a way of getting more access to the resources you need, when you need them.

Thank you so much!
