It’s incredible how insidious salt is; it gets everywhere and rots and corrodes everything! We go around Saetta time and time again, fixing, maintaining and replacing equipment. Our to-do list is, literally, never-ending!
Although it’s nice to fix things, we need to look after ourselves too. Living on a boat makes you a lot more aware of our impact to nature, be it on the amount of waste/garbage we make, the amount of water we use, the chemicals that end up in the water, and the energy necessary to cook. That is why we try to be as sustainable and green in what we eat, how we cook and the products we use.
If you like helping us maintain Saetta and if you are curious about which choices we make around sustainability, then why not become our maintenance engineer and chef!
