Hello World.
Would you like to play a game?

My love of gaming stretches back to the 1970's when my dad took me to his office and let me play a game called Snoopy and the Red Baron on a computer terminal in the corner of the office where he worked as a computer programmer.

Today I run a website dedicated to sharing news, information, and resources of interest to independent designers of 3D video games. I still love gaming and invite you to join me as I explore a variety of games and learn how to make Let's Play videos.

Making Let's Plays is something that I have wanted to do for a lot of years, however one thing or another kept getting in the way and I never managed to get things going. In 2017 I finally started up my dream, only to lose my internet access. Now, a year later, I am trying again to create a Let's Play series and, for the price of buying me a cup of black coffee once a month, you can pull up a chair and join me behind the scenes on my journey.

The coffee is not required, but it would be highly appreciated and would allow me to put more time into making, and improving, the videos.

Buy me a cup of black coffee once a month

For just a single dollar a month, the equivalent of bringing along a cup of black coffee in appreciation and support of my efforts, I can build up a reserve that will let me offset the cost of bills and thereby focus more on creating videos. I will also listen more closely to your suggestions, because that $1 a month shows you have a real interest in helping me make better videos for you.

If you have suggestions, or requests for additional support tiers, please, let me know. I am going to be working on making this the best experience I can for all of us, so any feedback or suggestions are welcomed.

Now, about those goals...

I have a few goals that I would like to meet, and the most important of those is to make doing something I love my full-time job. To be able to write, do 3D modeling, or play video games full time, and pay all of my monthly expenses, I would need to earn around $1,200.00 a month. That is a pretty huge goal to me, but I think it is achievable. I do not expect for it to all come from Patreon, I will be working to follow other avenues that can help me earn a living as a writer and 3D modeler, but my goal between all sources is $1,200 a month. So, if my Patrons here bring my income to that level, well... you will most definitely be getting my attention! And the Let's Plays I do for Patreon will be top priority at that time.

For now, I am going to be dedicating a few hours a day, Monday through Friday, to working on things for this Patreon. As my Patreon support increases, so too will the amount of time I will spend on Patreon projects. So, the more support I get here, the more you all get out of it.

Another goal I have is to get a better computer. I am doing my video editing on a 2008 home computer I purchased out of Wal-Mart years ago, and which I have already had to replace the power box in. It has a few issues, but it still works enough to keep me going for a little while. Unfortunately, I can not run the latest versions of many of the programs I use in 3D, including the newer versions of Blender or Unity. Nor can I run any kind of video capture programs to be able to make gameplay videos on it. Hell, I can't even run a game on the old beast anymore. When I reach a point I can pay the bills, and have a little extra, a computer is the first thing I want to be able to buy. That will open up a whole range of possibilities I can not even consider at this time.

For the moment my Let's Play videos are captured on the PS4, using the microphone that came with my PS4 to record my commentary, then moved via thumb drive to the desktop computer where I use the 2007 version of Windows Movie Maker to edit the video and save it as a computer view-able file (I tried saving as HD, that offsets the audio), then moved to a thumb drive and uploaded to YouTube via my Chromebook. It is a long painful process, but it is the only option I have at the moment.

So, please, feel free to wander by whenever you want to and take a peek at what I am up to, it's free! Or if you want to be a patron, by tucking $1 into the tip jar once a month, you will get my heartfelt gratitude and much more!

Goals
$0 of $20 per month
Every goal list needs to start somewhere. $20 does not seem like much, but this little amount is enough to keep the place I live warm for almost a week. Or it can buy food. Go toward helping to pay a bill... $20 does not seem like a lot, but I've never really needed a much.
