I have chosen my individual path as a writer, and it requires community. I have worked in various settings as a social worker. I have never stopped writing. In 2019, I took a leap and applied to attend New York University's MFA Writers' Workshop in Paris. I have never been outside of the United States. Hell, I had not been beyond Denver, Colorado. I have written deeply from personal experience, research and fieldwork. I seek my growth as a writer: engaging new places, people, and challenging myself to my next and next and next level as a carrier of the word.
When I originally began my Patreon account, I stated:
"It is time for me to dive into what restores, regenerates, confronts, and challenges. The artist. Listen to what James Baldwin says about "The Artist's Struggle For Integrity". Whew! I came to Patreon to share my process and to be held accountable by a tribe of creators & supporters. Now, it looks like you will have access to not only my process, but the powerful uncovering of the artist sitting within. Let's ride!"
We are indeed...riding. Or flying!
I am so thankful!
