Sarah Stone is creating mythopoetic original art

I am a Los Angeles painter of folklore, dreams and subconscious allegories. I create colorful, iconic artworks that incorporate a symbolic yet contemporary visual language to create a new mythos.

People ask where I get my ideas: my ideas come from a shadowland between waking and sleeping where I search in dark, sometimes muddy, underwater realms for clues. From the impressions and artifacts I find in this murky manner, compositions emerge like seedlings seeking light, winding around themes of persistence, growth, and change, connecting past, present and future.

My fans give me so much optimism and encouragement - it really means a lot to me to hear from people who feel touched, nurtured or inspired by my artworks.

When you become my patron you will get access to patron-only rewards made by me just for you! Thank you for being a part of my dream!

Builders create the foundation for change by creating space for new ideas, new series' of artworks, and new exhibitions. Builders will receive an 8" x 8" hand painted original artwork at the end of the year.
Goals
0 of 500 patrons
One of my goals is to create a space where writers, poets, musicians, artists and patrons can come together in a receptive space. Community is a large part of my thinking while art-making. I believe building positive creative communities of thinkers and idea people will be a necessary part of the new decade. When I reach 500 patrons I will get a studio/exhibition space where I can create work on a larger scale, inviting patrons and community to come together in this space at regular intervals to socially and creatively communicate, share and engage.
