Do you consider yourself an animal lover? Are you curious to find out what goes on in gardens and forests when humans aren't around? You've come to the right place!

Hi all, I'm Sarah, a 26-year-old living in a small town in Belgium. If you'd ask my family and friends to describe me in 10 words or less, they'd call me an enthusiastic, wildilfe crazy and camera trap loving young woman. I have always been interested in the natural world and have grown up caring for animals big and small. My grandmother used to take me outside into the garden and teach me not to be afraid of spiders, while my grandpa and I took bike rides to see the fallow deer in our village. Growing up, my parents taught me not only to respect nature, but to love it, cherish it.

I studied to be a teacher and while studying abroad in Liverpool I realised what I really wanted to do, was share my passion for the natural world. I decided to go for a second degree, focussing on nature and the environment. At 26 I have just started working with the Wildlife Rescue Centre in Ostend, Belgium (find out more? check us out on Facebook!) In my spare time I love going for walks, taking my camcorder along in the hope that I run into some animal or other. I bought my first camera trap only two and a half years ago and haven't looked back since. I love nothing more than going out to check what my camera traps have caught that otherwise would have stayed unseen for the human eye...

Some tidbits of information about me:
  • Favourite animal: pine marten
  • Favourite camera trap: Bushnell Trophy Cam Aggressor 2017
  • Favourite country: Scotland (oh, the animals, the landscape, the people,...)
  • Favourite forest: Wijnendalebos in Belgium
  • Favourite nature documentary presenters: Gordon Buchanan, David Attenborough

I hope to share my wild encounters with you. If you love my videos and you have some $$$ to spare, please donate a fiver so I can continue to love what I do and educate others about the natural world.

Cheers,
Sarah
