About

Hi! I'm Sara and I'm an author.
I love creating universes. My 21st Century Austen stories, the Yom Tov holiday romances, Kraulaak, and all my short stories share a universe. The romance stories being the side of the universe filled with hope and the horror being the dark, hopeless side. They are parallel universes; lives destroyed in one while lovers get their happily-ever-after on the other side.
You can learn more about me and my stories around the web:

Collaborative Writing
I love sharing my stories. A few years ago I thought I would write one novel and one short story collection every year. Then 2019 happened and I realized I was capable of doing more. I'm not sure I want to repeat this past year but I want to challenge myself in new ways. I also want to bring readers along for the ride.
I'm attempting collaborative writing through Patreon. All my writing will be moving here, to Patreon! All the novels, all the short story collections, all the romance, all the horror, and whatever else comes next (hint, fantasy romance, gods, magic, and more). You can be part of it by giving feedback, helping me make decisions, and sometimes contribute your ideas directly to the story.
There will be three books being
  1. Write Soon - The original Patreon project will continue until completed. Kyle and Amber meet by chance when she sends him a random letter during International Correspondence Writing Month (InCoWriMo). It’s a connection they both continue to develop from opposite ends of the country, agreeing to keep their communication focused on letter writing. As they each realize they’re in love, they must find a way to overcome the biggest hurdle - they’ve never met. Every attempt they make to meet is thwarted either by the world or their own fears of ruining an important relationship. Both must reconsider their lives, their plans, and their priorities to see where the other could fit and maybe have a happily ever after. This is a sweet-ish romance - sex free but plenty of curse words. The story is written primarily in letters
  2. Bribre - My next horror project and another collection of interconnected short stories. On the surface, Bribre is a multi-level marketing/direct sales company. Behind the scenes something sinister is going on. Consultants and directors disappear. Fay has a grant to research the company for a series of articles and books. Her notes connect the stories to discover the truth. This is Lovecraftian horror. Collaborates will read the stories and Fay's research notes.
  3. Northanger Parks - 21st Century Austen #4 is being added to the list of collaborative projects. When Katie’s aunt and uncle invite her to join them on an all-expense-paid trip to the Northanger Parks California resort as an early graduation present, she jumps at the chance to go to her favorite theme park in the universe! There she meets Eva and Ethan, siblings who run a popular Northanger YouTube channel. Her instant connection with Ethan is overwhelming and she convinces herself that their feelings are mutual. Convinced that Ethan will proclaim his love for her, Katie spends her trip with the siblings and is invited to join them at the parks in Tampa, Florida for another week. She accepts the invitation but once in Tampa she begins to see Ethan’s own struggles. Katie doesn’t know what to make of their domineering father who generously included her in this trip but doesn’t seem to like her. When Katie misunderstands Ethan’s desires and makes her own move, she’s sent packing. Katie returns to the real world where she learns what went wrong and how such clear signs were misinterpreted. This novel, inspired by Jane Austen’s Northanger Abbey, welcomes you into the world of Northanger Parks and The Most Wonderful Place in the Universe, especially for a hopeless romantic. This is already in the second draft and ready for reader feedback! It's a sweetish romance with profanity and implied sex.

What Do You Get?

You can pick one, two, or all three projects to collaborate on me with. It only costs $2 a month. You will either read content or make decisions later in the process. Once the project is complete, you no longer get charged and can pick another project if you want! Benefits will depend on each project but most will begin after the first or second draft has been finished. Readers will get to read chapters or stories each month to give feedback. Changes from feedback and edits will be shared. If there are related short stories to novels, you will read those to. You will pick cover designs, fonts, promotion option, and swag. At the end of the project, when the final book is released, you will get an autographed paperback edition. Your name will be included at the front of the book as a collaborator. Each project will be slightly different but expect to have a greater role than just a reader.

Goals
$30 of $200 per month
Helping me reach this goal allows me to be able to publish one of these books without pulling from my personal savings. Each book can cost between $2,000 - $4,000 depending on the cost of the cover design and the editor’s involvement. It might be even more if there’s more work to be done developmentally.
