As a self-published author, the cost of editing, cover design, formatting, and other marketing expenses is on me. If you enjoy my writing, and are able to spare a dollar or two, please consider donating to help. My next book, due later this year, addresses the ways that American Christianity mishandles the concept of suffering- and how we can address it in spiritually healthier ways. Thank you for your support!

Having grown up in a secular Jewish home before discovering the Episcopal church, I believe I have a unique perspective on Christian life and culture in America. This allows me to connect with people from all kinds of religious backgrounds.

There aren’t a ton of books or websites out there for adult converts from one religion to the other, which is why I decided to write about my own experiences with leaving, and finding, religion. My books and blog are a resource for other people who have “dual citizenship” between two distinct traditions.

At the same time, I have become increasingly aware of the ways that Christians and churches can culturally appropriate Jewish rituals and traditions, which can damage the bridges they may be trying to build. I also write to educate Christians about the harm of "goysplaining" -- that is, explaining Hebrew scriptures to the very people who wrote them, and how they can benefit from Jewish modals of biblical interpretation.
