The world is better with science!

We did the math: $287 is how much we need to make one daily episode - to cover our costs of equipment, rent, talent and travel to all those science locations (do they really have to put a university in EVERY city?).
When we reach our goal, we will have the funding we need to keep making awesome videos for you, and we won't need any annoying YouTube ads!

We currently have some dedicated but unpaid interns, each of whom does a few weeks at ScIQ in exchange for some free snacks, and the opportunity to absorb knowledge from the brains of the wise-yet-sexy ScIQ team. These internships are valuable, for us - because it means we can make more awesome vides! They're also valuable for the intern, because it's incredibly tough for women in media to get their foot in the door- particularly for science women on YouTube - which is why there aren't many. 
We would really likely to be able to compensate these bad-ass women for their work, and also recognize the contribution in a formal way. As soon as we hit our financial target, we'll be launching an official Internship for Women - complete with pay! 

At the moment, we have to film all our videos in one place - The YouTube Space, New York. That's just becaus ethey give us YouTube creators access to FREE sets, and FREE equipment, and all-you-can-drink FREE coffee!
This is a huge blessing for us, but it also limits us. If we reach this goal, we'll upgrade our equipment so we can show you some of the mad sights around New York City, and also make speedier content!

It's good to have dreams!
If we hit this target, you'll all be invited for a big ScIQ party in our future luxury apartment in Manhattan, which we promise will have actual furniture (unlike current apartment).
