Seeking fans that want music to have meaning, and feel that most music on the radio today is too "empty"; believe a well-crafted song is just as important as a well performed song; listen to music for affect regulation, personal meaning and bonding; love singer-songwriter music from the 60s to today.
If this sounds like you, you may like Science for Sociopaths. Science for Sociopaths is an introspective, soulful singer-songwriter project from southern born, Detroit raised, San Francisco based artist Maggie Cocco. Maggie’s originals meld licks like Carole king, power like Kelly Clarkson, and depth like Brandi Carlisle.
“There’s this fearless expression of sentiment and truth, coiled into rhymed lyrics that bridge indie-pop to a soulful blues-rock” [Jeff Milo, DeepCutz 2018].
The Science for Sociopaths online community, hosted on patreon, is the lifeblood of the project through which Maggie is able to fund, refine, and release regular content from original music and videos to covers and blogs. Expect monthly original releases and livestreams, plus weekly updates and "works in progress" input requests. Your thoughts really do matter! Shared experience and a dedication to authenticity drive this project, and ensure a meaningful emprise for Maggie and SfS fans alike.
