Hello everyone, Marie here.
I want to thank you for listening to the People Behind the Science podcast. We've been sharing the stories of amazing scientists since April 2014. Since Launch:
- Over 400 episodes released!
- We've been honored to be selected as one of less than 60 "Inspiring Women's Voices" by Apple.
- Ranked as high as 14 of science podcasts in iTunes. Alongside Radiolab, StarTalk, SciFri, and more.
- Had over 750,000 listens in all 50 US States and 130 countries.
So far, we've been paying for all of this primarily out of our own pocket because we believe so strongly in our mission. Some months, keeping the show going has made the budget a little tight! However, we'd really like to grow PBtS to serve more people, but we don't have the means to do so currently. That's why we're coming to you to see if you're interested in helping.
Let us know what you think. Crowdfunding is new to us so we'd love your suggestions and advice!
If you're not familiar with the show, here is more information:

We are excited to introduce you to these inspiring academic and industry experts from all fields of science to give you a variety of perspectives on the life and path of a scientist.
Our esteemed guests will tell you:
- what motivates them and how they balance their competing responsibilities

- advice to help you through your own journey through life and science
