About Catherine Price

We're facing a global crisis, and it's easy to feel panicked. But social distancing does not mean that you have to feel alone.

I'm Catherine Price, science journalist, author of How to Break Up With Your Phoneand founder of ScreenLifeBalance.com.  I'm trying to use this period of uncertainty as a chance to reset, get back in touch with what is important, and create a sense of community that will help us all weather this storm.

In response to the current situation, I'm offering a free #QuarantineChallenge (sign up for it here!), consisting of exclusive emails from me offering resources, exercises and inspiration, plus access to a weekly live zoom call where I'll be offering advice—and answering reader questions—about how to stay sane (and inspired!) during this crisis. I'll also be highlighting other creative professionals who are offering innovative online events that will help you feel connected, learn new things, and generally have more fun. 

My goal is to support other creative professionals and to help people all around the world create a sense of connection, meaning and joy despite all the challenges that we're facing. My hope is that I can help you to reclaim the time that you're currently spending compulsively checking (and rechecking) the news, and devote it toward something more nourishing that you can take with you once this crisis has ended.

I'm making the #QuarantineChallenge free, since I want it to be accessible to everyone who needs it. But if you have the means, it would be enormously helpful for you to become an official patron. I'm planning on devoting most of my work time to this effort, and your support will help me build even more resources—not to mention share and amplify the work of other creative professionals whose incomes are being threatened by this crisis. And after we make it through this crisis (which we will, I promise), my intention is to continue to provide regular inspiration and webinars to my Screen/Life Balance community.
