Colombian abstract painter/ musician

I'm an artist, I'm a musician (studied jazz guitar, I like to improvise) but started painting about a year ago, although i've loved to draw and create since I was a little boy. I'm 29 years old, I Live in South America, in Bogotá, Colombia.
So paint appeared as another form of art in my life (besides music), and opened many doors for me to try out a lot of new aspects of creating and sharing, and other concepts which I already used in my playing but are also transferable to painting and drawing as I have experimented. Not only do I enjoy painting, but also I have discovered a very magical place (or space, whatever you may call it) from where I can see, feel and do things a little differently. Now It feels like I need to do this every day, live this way, live from art and from what I love to do. Some things are hard to explain with words. Freedom, fire, emotion, fluidity, movement, energy, gesture, moment, presence, story, abstraction and rhythm, replace sadness, obligation, obedience, stress, confusion, laziness, fear, etc. Work is redefined as fun, connection, questioning preconceived notions, embracing diversity. It's a ride and a journey and a game and a life. Now that the waters are stiller after some hard times I had, I see how I paint in the morning and play at night, and I know I will be doing it time after time after time. I'm still starting out in this journey, learning how to share, how to ask, how to show, talk, give, receive, be strong but vulnerable and push with everything i've got also to learn balance and control, appreciate the power of silence and everything of that sort. What matters most to me now is that I am alive and doing what I love. I hope you enjoy the things I make. They are here now, they are born, and I hope many more will come. Thank you!
